How confident are you?
In early July came the announcement by British Chambers of Commerce that business confidence is now at its highest level since 2007. This was followed by the IMF raising their forecast for economic growth from 0.7% to 0.9% for 2013.
There’s no denying it! There is a definite rise in confidence, which is great news for business.
All this positivity is throwing up concerns for some employers, however. Changes in immigration law and a recognised skills gap in some sectors are presenting challenges for businesses needing to recruit in order to grow.
We are working with clients to help them answer 2 important questions:
- Have you got enough of the right people?
- Does your team possess the necessary skills?
Because finance is one of the areas that has been hit hard by the skills shortage, these seemingly simple questions are helping us identify the gaps so we can start the process of filling them before they become a barrier to business growth.
Working closely together and planning ahead, we help clients make strategic decisions about the best person to fill their role and grow their business. This helps them manage their budgets and ensure they are ready to seize opportunities when they arise.
What difference would it make to your business if you could plan ahead for your recruitment? Why not get in touch for an informal chat? We always love to hear from you!Join the discussion either on our Facebook page or you can tweet your views with the hashtag #suerees or direct to @susanrees1.
